Is CBD Oil For Cats?

When Farm Bill Of 2018 became a law, CBD oil became very popular as a consequence. The words “CBD oil turned into a household name. CBD oil became very popular especially to many pain sufferers. CBD oil is believed to relieve pain, usually as a last resort after trying traditional remedies such as chiropractic manipulation and many times taking opioids. CBD is not limited for human consumption. Pet owners who give CBD oil for cats realized tremendous benefits.

The market boom created an industryfrom hemp farming to manufacturing. Many brands cropped around the demand to fill the market. CTFO (Changing The Future Outcome) is one of them. CTFO is very popular among multi-level marketers. Hemp USA is another and many more. There are other brands named after some celebrities.

One would think that CBD is for human consumption only. After all, for many years, CBD is mostly consumed by persons suffering from pain. CBD has been proven to be effective in pain management. Lately, however, other benefits have been attributed to CBD. Among them: anxiety relief, anti-seizure, neuroprotection, cancer treatment and even anti-acne.

CBD Use Not Limited To Humans – Cats Too

Arthritis is a very common ailment for humans especially as one grows older. With age, one can experience joint, knee or hip pain. Redness and swelling in the joints exacerbate loss of appetite. Tenderness in joints may cause fever. These symptoms can be easily detected in humans; but harder in animals, especially cats.

A pet owner can assume that there is something wrong with their cats if some symptoms are obvious. Joint pains in cats are hard to diagnose even if you see your cat limps. A limping cat does not necessarily signify arthritis at the outset. In a case like this, it is best to bring your cat to a veterinarian.

CBD Oil Is An Ounce Of Prevention

Aside from special treats and supplements that a pet owner can provide their cats, CBD oil has been proven to improve a cat’s well-being. Instead of spending pricey veterinarian fees, why not invest in CBD treats to prevent these anticipated maladies. As your cat ages, certain age-related ailments are inevitable.

A friend of mine told me a very sorrowful story about his cat who died of brain cancer. He said his cat was too young to die. Dying at 7 years old is indeed youthful for a cat who usually lives from 13 to 17 years. Further studies are still needed to declare that CBD prevents and cure cancer, either in humans or animals. But there are some users who claim that they experienced some kind of relief; their pets included.

Homeostatis In Cats

The human body as well as other animals have what is called hemeostatis. “The tendency toward a relatively stable equilibrium between interdependent elements, especially as maintained by physiological processes. It is the state of steady internal physical and chemical conditions maintained by living systems.” ~ Wikipedia.

In human nature, homeostatis is a necessary condition. For the living body to function properly, all its systems must be synchronized. Its physiology must harmonize with its neurology. The body’s organs must function harmoniously among themselves. Homeostatis applies to the human body and so with cats too.

Keep Your Cats Happy With CBD

If only our cats can communicate what they feel such as pain or inflammation which are the two most common ailments on cats. A pet owner can notice signs that their pets do not feel fine. But they cannot see the physiological cause behind it. If a cat behaves differently and is not acting the usual way, one can surmise something is wrong. But one cannot know what is wrong unless the pet is seen by a veterinarian.

Veterinarian fees are not cheap anymore. My friend’s way of avoiding costly vet visits is to supply his cats with CTFO’s “Pet Chew Treats. He told me that his cat used to be very sickly and sluggish. After treating him with “Pet Chew Treats” for about four months, he noticed a significant change in his well-being. He has less vet visits lately and is relatively active than before.

A Word Of Caution

While CBD oil is recommended for cats, it is strange to note that marijuana is not suited for cats. It is dangerous for cats to even nibble on marijuana plants. The American Veterinary Medical Association does not have a definitive stance about CBD oil for cats. The association neither approves nor disapproves CBD oil for cats. However, many veterinarians and pet owners are convinced that CBD oil can be taken as supplement to help the many conditions their animals experience.

This is the reason why CTFO’s “Pet Chew Treats” does not contain THC which is derived from marijuana. THC is the ingredient that has a psychoactive effect on users. The Food and Drug Administration allows CBD that contains less than .03% of THC to be in the market.

Just like any other supplement, be it for humans or animals such as cats, caution must be exercised in consuming these.
